If you're wanting Quick Release mounts then go with Leupold mounts and bases. If you want a simple attached scope that you will not be removing I would go with Weaver bases and I personally like the B-Square mounts. They are real strong and seem to hold well. Also they will not break the bank when you buy them.

As for the scope, most people will tell you to get as good a quality scope as you can afford. If we knew a price range that would make the question a little easier. I just purchased a Sightron I 3-9x40mm and am real happy with it. It was only $119.00 but the clarity and focus are most impressive as is the eye releif. What are you interested in when you think of a scope?
