we are all grown ups. simple idea, take responsiblity for your mistake of not knowing what was what with the DMPs. If you don't know, ask. If they can't tell you, wait. Do a lttle research. Don't place the blame on someone else for your own "ignornance". If it was a law you were breaking, you think the judge is going to accept "well, I didn't know it was that way" or "they didn't tell me that". Yes, it can/should be fixed/improved and I'm sure it will be.
