What do white oak trees look like? Red Oak trees? The land I hunt is mostly clearcuts, but there is some patching woods. How can I locate the acorn trees?

NHHunter hit it. But there are an awful lot of kinds of oak trees. So if you really want to get the thing into your bones and you have no one to show you, get a tree guide from the library and take it into the woods. Can't miss.
