My wife came in on Saturday and saw that I was watching some football games and she "congratulated" me on waiting until September to start watching games this year. I didn't have the heart to tell her that there were really only preseason games in August and I never watch those.. Oh well, brownie points for doing nothing, my kind of bonus.

I lied, I decided to check on the cam yesterday to make sure it was getting some activity... It was.. Not a lot but some include a little buck (it wasn't a big buck but it might have been a 1.5 year old 6 or 8. Maybe a 2.5 year old) but the angle of the phot hid most of his head. I could see the horn but for some reason his whole head was very out of focus... 6:30 in the morning the camera went off. Looks like the spot might work after all.. The corn around that plot will still be there opening day and probably for a while after... Might have to move closer to the edge of the field. There are a few good pine trees there that should work.
