Went out spotting last night, seeing a lot of decent bucks in the area, but nothing where I'll be hunting. I think it's because the only cornfield in the area is over a hill from the road, and the deer are back in that area. I'm not worried, there are always shooters in this particular woodlot, and there's no way to really spotlight them. The first time I'll get a good look at the area's buckswill beon opening morning, hopefully.

I shot yesterday for 3 hours - pounding out to 50 yards. I shot every arrow about 5 times with broadhead, making sure they all shoot the same. They do.

Man, I've been on a college football bender. Friday night, I watched Arizona and Utah. I went to the Penn State game on Saturday, and watched Pitt lose later at the bar. Sunday, I watched more games and capped it off last night when I got to watch "the U" lose to Florida State on what else but a whiffed fg. September-December has gotta be the greatest time of the year.
