I've always heard that they will run about 50/50 in sex. Some does can and do breed at 6 months of age, but lets say she doesn't till she is a year. Then each year she averages 2 fawns (the first year will probably be one, but commonly does that are healthy will have 3 when they are 4 to 5) for 6 years that will make it 10 or so for her, but those doe fawns she has early will also be producingduring those years so there would be 25 or so direct offspring of which half would be does..there is some attrition, but shouldn't be that high....(not 100% sure about the math, but it seems close) I would be curious about the article if you can link it.
