I've got a BDL in 300 RUM and shoot 0.5 to 0.75 groups with it routinely using factory ammo. For what its worth this is the only rifle I shoot where I find myself consciously setting up my shot in my mind before I pull the trigger. I know it's going to kick and I just let it do its thing. I make sure the butt is tight into my shoulder and I do hold the front stock with my left hand even when resting on sandbags. My 700 came with a good trigger so that's the way I shoot it.

Don't know if this helps but the 300 RUM can shoot great groups.
