check this site out before buying a 17, look in the forums and see what others are saying about the 204. there are sites like this for the 17, but you will find there are nasty limits to the 17.

this is my advice and experience...i sold a 17 remington to get a 204 after i watched a friend of mine blast a ground hog @ 315yds and nearly take off its head, 20lbs ground hog.
