RE: ML Supplies - Winnipeg
randyh, I have used the TC breech/nipple grease in the past but prefer CVA slick Breech/nipple grease (hard to find up here in canada lately and wholesale does not stock it!). Any way I would put on a layer of the TC anti seize on the threads then wrap it with plumbers grade teflon tape for the range(Pink colour not white). It can be bought for 2 bucks at almost any hardware/building supply store and will last years! When I hunt I just use the pink teflon tape on the breech threads and the TC anti-seize on the nipple...never had a stuck breech. I will say if you do a range session and shoot a fair amount check the breech every 10 shots and re-apply if sticky. Also remove the plug after your last shot and you will not have any troubles. The pink teflon alone will also work but you must check it when on the range faithfully, if shooting hotter loads every 5 shots or so would be my suggestion. Also make sure to only finger tighten these components!
The CVA Slick grease I mentioned is awesome (if you can find it)and had no problems with it alone. I make sure all threads are coated liberally and remove the excess pushed back into the breech area with a q-tip.
Best of luck.
