I wouldnt doubt it at all- and I'm a hillbilly that can even spell d-o-u-b-t!!! I had a Model 70 338 Wm that was the tack drivingest Big Game rifle I ever shot! And, contrary to what you read on every gun site, they are a pleasure to shoot. They do not have a bad recoil-rather, kind of a velvety like long push-it is not sharp. I have shot many 7mm's that hurt worse to shoot than the 338. Of course I'm a believer that the win Mod 70 is an optimum design to minimize recoil-especially in the classic sporter model-nice and heavy-with pretty straight stock.
