Or even a powdered attractant such as Deer coCain or C'mere Deer or Buck Bran. Chances are they have tried it but you are never there to see.
I would agree on both counts. I cannot say that I have had a time that I didn't put deer cocaine out and it didn't attract at least some attention. When water hits it the powder releases a scent that attracts the animals.
