Great way of hunting IMO. It's one of the truest forms of hunting there are. You against him on his turf. I like to go on a good stalk every now and then (although not on my primary land I hunt [:-]). Unlike you though I've been busted more times than not. Crafty critters they are.
My philosophy is when you think if you go any slower you're going to start having moss grow on you..................... slow down some more. Always have the wind in your favor, have good backdrop, and soft ground. Most of the time it's still doesn't matter. Nothing like a long stalk and finally creeping your way into bow range.
