I really like the longer bows myself. I checked out a Ovation, it is a very nice bow. I talked to the owner of the shop who shoots one in competition. He said it is very accurate but that he couldnt get much speed out of it no matter what he tried. I am currently looking for a bow in the 35 to 38 inch lenght with a bare minimum of 7 inches of brace height. I was leaning toward a Ovation or Bowtech Independence which are both 40 inches and well over the brace height i wanted. Then i saw the ROSS archery CR337 and fell in love with it, it definetly topped my list and will probably be my new bow. The axle to axle is 37 inches, with a 7 1/2 inch brace height, very parallel limbs, long, lightweight riser and larger idler wheel. The president of the company Andy Ross says that he builds bows with the hunter in mind, and built this bow because it had everything that he wanted in a bow. It comes factory with limbsavers, string leeches and custom string. I believe the retail price was in the low 600's about the same as a Mathews. Check them out at
