I would have to agree with the consensus that has been handed down concerning the "issues" your friend has.

That said I do feel there are better heads for the money. Perhaps they have improved the blade retention since I tested them a few years ago. For me the best testament there was to NOT use them was to practice with them. I could break blades off in a foam broadhead target after just a few shots. In my opinion that is unacceptable in a fixed blade head.

So if your buddy favors small heads and wants to stay with them,I would get a number of your friends together and each purchase a package of heads like a Rocky Mountain Ironhead, Turbo, or a NAP Nitron, perhaps a Sonic, or Slick Tricks, etc. and spend a few hours shooting those head to head (no pun intended) against the Ultimate Steel. I have no doubt he will see a difference.
