Well, for a smooth bore, any rifled slug will work about the same. And as cheap as they are, try them all. Good luck
This ain't usually so! Most smoothbore shotguns will show a definite preference for one brand of slugs! For example, I once bought a 12-ga. Ithaca Deerslayer smoothbore, and put a 2.5X scope on it. On the same day, my hunting buddy got himself a 12-ga. Remington 870 with rifle sights but a smoothbore slug barrel. We bought a bunch of different brands 12-ga slug of ammo and went to the range.

My gun would shoot 4" groups at 100 yards using Remington Foster-type"rifled" slugs, but would not hit the side of a barn with Federal or Winchester Foster slugs, and would not shoot Brennekes muchbetter. However, my buddy's gun LOVED Brennekes andshot Winchester slugs pretty well too, but was not worth a damnwith Remington or Federals!

Try several brands, including Lightfields and Brennekes, as these hit much harder and penetrate better than pure lead, hollow "badminton cock" (Foster) slugs!! But use the kind that shoot most accurately in your gun.
