I don't think rubber boots eliminate your scent completlybut they do carry less scent then regular boots. I wear them mostly because you can walk through anything without getting your feet wet or caked with mud. And the new rubber/neoprene boots are very light and super comfrotable to wear and walk in.
Exactly. I have the Lacrosse Alphas, both with and without insulation and they are an excellent rubber boot. Almost feels like I am wearing sneakers. I like the fact that they are 18" high and I usually don't have to look for a shallow area to cross a stream, I just go wherever. The only downfall is that rubber boots are hot in the early season.

I have tagged a lot of deer before I started wearing rubber boots so I think the advantage is minimal on the scent control. I am sure they give you a little edge and that is what we are all looking for.
