Spring is a hunt that you are inquest with the Gobblers. You will use hen calls and listen and work gobbling birds that work towards your calling setup. The spring hunt is more of a find the roost location of gobbling birds setup in a travel route that you feel or know they are going to take and your calling to that Strutting, Gobbling bird that will gobble all day long. The type of Calling used in ther spring time is Plain Yelp, Cutting, Clucks,Purring, Purr-Cluck typical hen soundfs that one would hear in the spring woods.

Fall is a little different from the spring hunt. The season bag limit includes hens and poults in most cases along with the gobblers. At this time of year Gobbling is very limited and you will use more of a find the flocks and Scare (Bust) them up. These birds are mostly the Dominate hen or hens with their young. The flock will scatter and your setup point is at or very close to the Bust. The Calling you will hear is different from the spring calling and as well as the calls that you will use to call these birds back. Assembly Yelping, Clucks, Gobbler Clucks , Gobbler Yelps, Kee-Kee and kee-Kee-Runs are all calls that you will hear and use for the fall. Most young birds will do the Kee-Kee and Kee-Kee-Run to regroup with the Dominate hen. By using this type of calls you could have a chance to bring into range one of these scattered birds. Gobblers on another hand are harder to hunt in the fall and are alot lost vocal. They tend to do Gobbler yelps that are very corse from the hen and will also Cluck and at most time sparingly. It can take Hours into days to regroup fall Gobblers.
