Default RE: Moultrie digital spy 1.3mp?

I have one that I bought back in February (and paid ($179 for it). I have taken well over 1000 pics with it and so far it's doing great. The pictures are not the best, but are just fine IMO for a scounting tool. I have (2) 256MB SD cards that I swap out each time I go to the lease. I also have a rechargeable battery and solar panel and the first round it lasted for 12 weeks. I believe the Moultrie solar panel puts out less milliamps than the camera uses so I'm in the process of trying a different brand of solar panel. The biggest downfall that I have experienced is the mounting system, it absolutely sucks! What I have done is to take a piece of 2x12 about 8" longer than the camera and mount the camera to it useing 3/16 x 6" long toggle bolts. Then I drilled a set of holes above and below the camera for u-bolts. Then I mount the solar panel near the connectors for the solar panel hookup facing up at a 45 degree angle. I drive a t-post near my feeder and use the u-bolts to mount it to the t-post. I am currently modifying that setup by screwing 2 lag type eye bolts one each side above and below the camera so itr can be strapped to a tree for trail monitoring or whatever. I recently picked up another one at the local Bass Pro shops for $99.88 and will probably pick up another one this weekend. I thought i was a good deal at $179 so I feel like it's a great deal at $100. I can have one fully rigged out with the camera, rechargeable battery, 256 MB card, solar panel and the modified mounting system for about $160.

If you are just absolutely stuck on having to have better resolution than 1.3 MP, they are coming out with a new model in September that will be a 3.0 MP model and will stamp camera ID, date, time, temperature and moon phase on the picture. That should make for some very interesting patterning. It is supposed to be in the $180-$200 range. I'm gonna have to have one I think.
