I agree not to worry. Even if you spooked them bad I doubt they would abandon their home range for long. I'd think they'd avoid the spot for a day or two and stop back to check things out.
I have a tree stand and a ground blind in a couple of acres of dense woods around our cabin. I drug a bunch of wood pallets out there two nights ago and formed the blind. I had a doe and her twins watching me. The next night, I went back to camouflouge the blind - nailing dead tree bark to it and covering the hard lines with variou branches and brush. I had another big doe watching me the whole time. They seemed more curious at what I was doing than frightened. I almost had to yell at them to get them to leave.
I would have rather built the blind this during the day when it was less likely they'd be around but the evenings are the only time I can get out there. And hopefully the blind will become a part of their everyday routine by the time the season starts in a few months.
