I agree holeheartedly. I think the .30-30 is'nt as popular now because of the mentality of needing a magnum for even the smallest game animal. Most of that I believe comes from the American ego. Wanting the biggest and baddest of whatever we own/buy. That's fine if you want to hunt whitetails with your .375H&H but don't belittle the fellas still keeping the classic .30-30 in the fields.
