Randy Wakeman commented on the Kleanbores recently elsewhere. Here was his statement.......

"Winchester 209s work well, and fit most breechplugs the best. Federals are hotter, larger OD, and get you a few FPS for "free." Avoid the 209-4 Remingtons, now renamed Kleenbore. "

and

"According to the Remington ammo plant, their so-called new 'Kleanbore' primer is the same old 209-4 .410 primer. Now billed as a muzzleloading primer, it will be more money. "

This was in reference to their use in a Savage 10ml....perhaps he will comment further if he comes across this post.
