Gorrila's sticks were made to copy Lone wolfs, however I beleive they could not get around the part of the pattent protecting the sticks steps going two directional. That right there would be worth the $10. Furthermore, not only does Gorrila copy other peoples ideas, they make them in CHINA to get the price below the origanal designer's. Lone wolf is made in the good ol USA Cudahy Wisconsin.
As far as the stand goes, you cannot get stress noise out of a casting. No squeaks, no cold weather weld creaks, no hollow tube echo when a branch slaps it. Light,. and quiet. The best stand on the market.
