I was in Fl last week and when I climbed into the tree stand the skeeters were so thick I couldn't even think. I fired up the thermacell and within 5 min they were gone. Not one bite. I did notice it puts off a bluish vapor that goes straight up like smoke. I would plan on spooking game that approached down wind. I am planning on using it when the skeeters are really bad and not fire it up until I need it.
