Default RE: Head hunters or meat hunters?

I hunt because I love to hunt, bottom line! If I've been seeing a thumper during summer and early season, I'll definitely go for him but when it gets down to the nitty gritty in the late season and I don't have a tag filled, well a nice doe will suffice.

Either way, I love deer hunting because it's a challenge. I'm going to contradict myself here and say that even in the late season I'll pass on a young buck (1.5-2.5 yrs) but I want to see them grow. However, I still don't think that would put me into the class of being a head hunter. Letting them grow another year allows them to become even wiser, thus giving me a bigger challenge the next year!
