So keeping the high KE is what allows an arrow to "bust through" thick skin, meat, and ultimately... bone? The only down side is the bow's weight and the noise, this thing sounds unusually loud.
Yes. The high KE will do just that. As far as the noise is concerned, try taking it to your bow tech and have him/her do maintenance on it...ie....lube the limb pockets...that will most likely help quite a bit.
