RE: Spring scouting?
My honey hole for turkey is the same area I hunt deer so I'm checking out during the fall a lot. I don't do any scouting before the spring season because I know exactly where they are each spring. I go in the evening before my hunts and catch a few going up to their roost to create my game plan for in the morning.
However if I didn't know where they were you bet I'd be out in the woods looking by early March.
