One thing to consider about the allegiance ( and the Switchback I believe) is that it is cam specific which means it can't be changed over without switching cams vs a module for the Patriot. To me 2 FPS means nothing so the speed thing really doesn't mean much. But when you go to sell the Patriot you will have a better chance of moving it because of its added versatility. Not knocking the Allegiance as I realize its state of the art but that doesn't mean much to the deer really. As for bows being obsolete a couple years after introduction, thats just effective marketing from the manufacturers. They do improve them marginally with new models but the differences are usually quite minor I would think.
