RE: Couple questions for "Trophy" hunters
The hunting can be SO different from farm to farm, county to county, state to state that putting arbitrary limits on antler size is rediculous. It all boils down to hunting pressure.... If you have a huge farm with little pressure, killing a mature buck really isn't that big of a deal.... You will more than likely get atleast one chance each season..... However, if you hunt heavily pressured public or private land, you may go a decade without having a mature buck in range...... There are way to many variables involved for one guy to look down on another guy...... Each situation is different..... and in the end the old saying rings loud and clear.......... To each his own..... and ..... A Trophy is in the Eye of the Beholder..........
Beyond that the rest is pointless babble.....
I will say this, with my longbow this season, I will shoot any deer that comes with my effective range..... With my compound I will shoot does and any buck over 100 inches
