I also live in Illinois and use a 695. I would suggest to steer clear of the rifled slugs. That is not what your gun is designed to shoot. Secondly, I never had much luck with the Federal Hydra-shok sabot slugs. Accuracy was not very good at all. I have had the best luck with 3/4oz and 1 oz Barnes Expanders. I have also had good luck with Winchester Supreme Gold partitions, and lightfields. I know the price of ammo is steep, but you get what you pay for. Good luck
