speedbuggy16v welcome to the board.I have a Rem 700 ADL with the synthetic stock in .270. It has proved to be a reliable rifle.Don't know about the Mossberg. The Remington 700 has been around for a long time and been proven. Check out the Ruger 77's. Another quality made bolt action.You can get it with S/S bbl and synthetic stocks & a large selection of calibers..Ruger Redhawk
