Have a gunsmith drill a hole in the back of the receiver and you can clean it from the rear instead of from the muzzle. Don't worry, it won't make the receiver weak or anything like that and you won't be able to see it while it is in the stock.

A 22lr will last virtually forever if you take care of it. You won't be able to wear out the barrel.
