RE: Did you harvest the largest animal you had in bow range?
During bow I shot a big one but never recovered it. It was a great shot from 12yds. but he ended up going intothe water and then a thunderstorm from hell erupted. We were still recovery from the hurricanes.We spent days looking for him. It's still heartbreaking. I stopped counting points at 7. I think he was either a 8 or 9. I seriously thought about giving up bow huntin' but decided to chalk it up as a learning experience and try again. I did however manage to take a big 10pt. that dropped in his tracks a week later but that was with my muzzleloader.
