If the recoil wasn't about 25% above most shooter's tolerance level, the .300 Win Mag might be the best all around big game rifle out there. Amazingly accurate, serious horsepower for big critters,capable of taking smaller animals without undue meat damage (with the right bullet, of course), and not real hard on barrels. If I had to cut back to just two rifles, they would be the 6MM-284 and the .300 Win Mag. (Sure hope it never comes to that)
