I don't think its a joke, but I do believe it is being blown out of proportion by the media. I just wear my deet and try not to let it get to me. You probably have a better chance of getting struck by lightning than dieing from west nile. How many people do you know that have been struck by lightning. Better yet, how many people do you know that have died from west nile.
