RE: horse dies of west nile in my town, are deer next?
Its no joke. I live in Illinois, in which we have the most outbreaks of W. Nile disease than any other state with twenty some deaths. 2 confirmed cases are in my county and both have survived. Horses in a small Amish community not far from me contacted the disease quite a while ago, with a few deaths. It is not overblown by the news media, it is just being reported as it should be. But I believe it will subside as the St. Louis encephalitus did several yrs. ago, we need a good killing frost and an average summer next yr.
As long as I use my Deet I will continue to hunt as usual. I do hope the deer don't contract the disease as well.
