with moist soil rye will pop in 7-10 days. Clover about 10-14 days, though you will not recognize it as clover until it gets its fourth leaf at about 3 weeks. Growth in the fall is dependent on the temperature. Even with days in the 70s - if you have 50s at night, growth for the clover will be veeeeery slow. The rye will dominate the first fall as it grows very well with average temps in the low 60s. If you get alot of sunlight, and/or warm nights, the clover can surprise you though.
