Default RE: How the .243 stacks up (part deux)

ORIGINAL: bigcountry

I killed 6 axis deer in the past 3 years with a .222, at a 100 yds the little pill is delivery around 2600 fps and 750 lbs of energy, and it was very affective.
Did you pet them i thier cage before shooing them out to 100yards?

According to infinity and quickload, your original numbers from federal are very unlikely. With a good velocity of 2950fps from a 100gr SBT gameking, you will probably see 42" of winddrift and about 3" more drop at 500. Thats iwth a scope mounted 1.5".
your numbers are way off, I just checked a couple of calculators. But i guess you can manipulate them the way you choose.
.243 100 gr bullet with 2960fps a SD of .242 and a BC of .430, with a 10 mph wind
doesnt calculate to what your saying.
