Nope only hunted whitetail deer in texas, but i know that virginia has smaller deer than texas. I know virginia is not a top destination for trophy whitetail hunting. You do not have to hunt somewhere to find out about the size of the deer. For one the nutrition deer recieve (naturally) in texas is hard to beat. The south texas brush has a very high protien and mineral content. This coupled with genetics is why the deer in texas have such large antlers and somewhat smaller body sizes. I am not saying virginia has bad hunting, I am just saying texas has bigger deer. But i really dont want to fight this one again.
