RE: left handed traditional
I have a Cabela's Hawken right handed percussion rifle. I haven't had it long enough to work up a real good hunting load yet, but the wood to metal fit and finish is very nice. The balance is good also. I had to put fiber optic sights on it because I have terrible vision and couldn't see the brass front blade. I also found out that the nipples you have to use are generally for cap and ball revolvers. I think its because its a Pedersoli made gun. so if you need replacement nipples cant use thompson or hotshot or those. Fortunately I have a bass pro close by that I can get them at.
From the one day at the range I have had with it it seems to like 80 grains of pyrodex and a patched round ball.
Hope that helps and good luck.
