zak, The simms cable slide seems to be a little smoother than the factory one and it won't make any noise if it is raining outside. The other reason is because it brings the cables in a little more than the factory slide which provides more clearance for fletchings. I don't think I would have had any problems with the factory slide, but I had the Simms already and decided to put it on.
