Ruger still chambers the 7x57 in the #1, which is what I have. I hand load too so I have my bullets seated relly long out by the lands, It gives me a lot more case capacity. I loaded up some 150 BST at about 2800 fps and some 140gr BSTs and XLCs at about 2900 fps. It will shoot under 1" at 100 yards with some of the loads I have worked up including the 150gr BSTs at 2800fps.
Ruger still chambered the 7x57 in the m77 MkII in 2004, you may be able to still find one.
Hey, thanks for the reminder on the #1 in 7x57. I really like the Ruger #1s, especially the RSI model.
Yeah, I figure to maybe catch a Mod.77 in 7x57 at one of our local gun shows in the next year or so.
