As a native Montanan who lives in Wa. St. now, it has been interesting to read the comments. I have met many people in various parts of Montana that do not know that I was born and raised there, but yet they have always been courteous and helpful to me. Only thing I would add to the advice is a cautionary note to be AWARE that the winter temps can stay below zero for days or even weeks at a time in parts of MT and 45 below is not uncommon some winters. If you have never experienced that...it will take some getting used to. Best of luck on your new adventure.
