Careful with the recomendation to not use rechargeable batteries in the digitals. I've been useing the rechargeable AA's in my EagleEye for eight months now and have had great success. It depends on the camera and the batteries. The Sony P41 likes them.

It's also looking like there is a correlation between cost and picture quality through the four that I have used. Probably not a surprise.
