I am using a Remington 870 Wingmaster 16ga, with Federal Hi Power 1 1/8oz Number 6 2 3/4" shells.

40 paces...7 bb's in the head, none in the vitals, but I had a group of bb's (14 in a 4" circle) to the lower left, so that could have been my fault...Over 30 in a 10" circle..

30 paces...9 bb's in the head, and again a group to the left of the head (had 4 kill bb's) over 60 in a 10" circle

20 paces...30+ bb's in the head, all scattered around it...over 80 in a 10" circle


If i had more bb's in the 40 pace range, would it have enough power to take out a turkey?

reguardless I'd say my effective range is in the 25-30 pace category (roughly 30-35 yards, i got big steps)

So...do you think I'd have enough oomph to take out a turkey at 40yards?
