so, you like the cobra? but I could use it without a guard if I want? I might prefer that. please explain the "sitdown" deal. you climbsitting down? how do yuo climb with the cobra without guard? is it real hard. as yuo can tell, I am new to climbing stands.
I have the cobra and you are right. What I did though was get a piece of protruded aluninum and welded it in a u shap and inserted it in the ends of the cobra seat frame. If you look at it you will see it looks like it was made for this purpose but I'm sure it wasn't. After I got the u piece to fit I then drilled two holes through it and and the seat frame and inserted two bolts and wing nuts to secure it. This also alows me to remove it once I get to hunting height. Now I have the ease of a sit down-stand up climber and a safty rail that is removable.
