Would this be considered baiting? Because I dont want to be found with a hole in the vicinity of my stand. Ive seen what salt block holes look like, and that would probably happen with this too.
I checked with the Wisconsin DNR, and yes it is illegal to place a mineral lick during the off season. [:'(] It is however legal to put them out during the hunting season.
That makes no sense, when the deer need it the most you can't do it because it is concidered baiting, and as stated earlier deer do not visit these sites very often after Aug. or Sept. I do not consider this to be baiting, IMO I consider this to be helping the deer herd, along with planting food plots.
