RE: 280 Rem.
I know it is abit reduntant to my 270, thus my concern. I know a couple guys who own them and think they are all a guy would ever need where we hunt...however they always complain obout shell selection off the shelf. I know the 280 is a flat shooter and a step up form my 270 but justn't can't decide. Now I have a real dilemma, I have located a Browning A-bolt chambered in a 3006 that is nice and fits me. I know the 06 is probably the most versitile cal out there, but I haven't even consider it...UNTIL NOW. I know it is no blazer on the chrono but it should do just nicely. I hunt mostly wt's, but moose and elk as well. Orginally I was thinking 7mm mag all the way, but since I can't find one around, switched to 300 win. Then these 2 guns show up and I am now leaning towards the 3006. (I want a good all arounder with good accuracy and it must fit me, which they all do)
I have shot a 300 Win & 300Wtby but can't remeber how she bangs a guy. Any thoughts on the recoil? (I have a bad left shoulder and really don't want to flinch b/c I am scared of hurting my wing!)
What do you guys think? Of my choices 280, 3006 or 300 win what would you do? My real problem is god blessed me with left eye domiance, so my choices are limited.
