Default RE: 280 Rem.

Skeeter--if there is anything I have noticed about 280's it is their inherent accuracy. They are not finicky about loads. In a 24" barrel with a 160 partition I get 2875-2900 with remington brass..imr7828 and a federal 210 primer ...I ran a 7 Rem mag federal 160 partition factory load thru the chronograph in a brand new BAR and it went 2895, now that made me sick. Now I have limited experience loading both rounds in lighter grain bullets and am not qualified to speak on it but it seems the 140-150 grain bullets in a 280 top off about 2900-295o with exception of the federal HE load 140TBBC which clocks about 3100. So in the lighter bullets it is comparable to a 270 but I think it is more accurate.
