RE: Gobbling Then go Quiet, What next?
When you call does he gobble back at all ?
I have seen this on turkey hunting shows and in the woods.
If he does gobble back a little and gets quiet it
It could be he is sneaking in to see where the hen is.
From what I have seen they will do that.
Get set up and stay as covered up as posable.
Maybe a pop up blind.
Sit still if he is looking for the hen he will apear out of nowhere.
Look for his head to be pokeing up like a parascope on a submarine.
