Default Ramblings from a newbie...

I've been shooting alot with my new longbow over that past week and I am having a blast. I'm definitely getting better but still have some issues to work out.....

I've been trying to incorporate Gap shooting or Howard Hill's split vision method. However, I have a hard time while at full draw actually guaging where my arrow is in relation to the target. It seems easier for me to extend the arm, eyeball down the shaft and guess the correct gap, then draw and release. Is this a poor method?

You know, I just can't seem to see my arrow point all that well at full draw...... Am I not leaning in enough?

I got sick of just hammering away at a target face, so I bought some Judo's and I've been loving that. Is shooting Judo a good way to practice and develop form, or should I stick with purely target shooting until I get my form, etc down pat?

Thanks for the responses. I will be out for the next few days, so I will check back in on Monday.
